District Testing Assessment

It is the position of the Ankeny Community School District that assessment should provide opportunities for all students to successfully meet established standards. Teaching and assessment should address a broad range of learning, including the recall of facts and the application of knowledge. Assessment should provide an opportunity for students to learn, gain ownership in their education, and improve their performance. Standardized tests, as well as alternative assessments, provide meaningful information about individual ability, achievement, progress and potential.
