Ankeny Community School District is committed to providing support for parents wishing to home school their children.

There are two options available when the home schooling decision is made:

Dual Enrollment - curriculum materials are made available, as well as access to certain extracurricular activities and academic courses in the district. Parents work through school counselors and the home school contact.

No assistance is requested from the District. Parents are accountable directly to the State and follow educational and testing guidelines provided by the State. The District provides no teacher or educational materials.

Competent Private Instruction forms are required by law to be filed with the Executive Director of Special Programs annually by September 1st.
