One $1500 and one $1000 scholarship to be granted. Will be awarded to Iowa resident planning to attend a 2 or 4-year institution of higher learning in Iowa during the following academic year. Preference will be shown to those who have demonstrated an interest in politics and government, and who demonstrate financial need and academic excellence or the potential of academic excellence.

The Iowa Scholarship Program will award more than $300,000 in scholarships this year to 100 students in Iowa who have demonstrated integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity.
