The Ankeny School District employs substitutes for staff as needed to temporarily fill a position. Personnel serving as a substitute shall be qualified to fill the positions including the appropriate certification and license. Personnel are paid according to the established rate. Teachers who work in a long-term substitute assignment may be eligible for a higher rate of pay.
