The Board of Education recognizes some students require instructional services beyond the regular education program. The District will identify students with exceptional abilities and provide instructional and educational enrichment through the Ankeny Extended Learning Program (AELP).

It is the responsibility of the Superintendent/designee to develop a talented and gifted program that provides for student identification, program evaluation and professional development.
