806.10 Property and Casualty Insurance Program
The board shall maintain a comprehensive property and casualty insurance program to provide adequate coverage against major types of risk, loss, or damage, as well as legal liability. The superintendent/designee shall make recommendations to the board concerning the district’s program of property and casualty insurance.
The board shall review the district’s property and casualty insurance program periodically to ensure adequate coverage. Such review may be made annually, but must be made at least once every three years. The board may retain a private appraisal agency for inventory and appraisal value services to support maintenance of a comprehensive property and casualty insurance program.
