Facility Rental by the Community
The Ankeny Community School District facilities and buildings are owned, maintained and supported by the public. The Board of Education actively seeks to promote and respond to the educational, recreational, civic and cultural needs of its total community through the total resources of the community schools. However, all school facilities have been primarily erected and maintained for the use of the students of Ankeny Schools and shall not be used for another purpose that will conflict with that use. Policy 1004.40.
The District requires at least two-week notice and reserves the right to deny, move, cancel, and postpone any activity.
Prices will vary depending on the requested space and what type of group and/or activity. A $100 deposit or greater is required prior to receiving access to a facility for a community rental. Custodial hires will be required at 50+ attendants based on event and/or security services may be hired at the discretion of the Community Engagement Department.

Ankeny Community Engagement and Ankeny Parks and Recreation partner between September and April in the utilization of gym space for Ankeny residence team practices through a lottery system. Community practices must work around district activities and in no way should conflict with district programs. Ankeny Parks and Recreation take requests for these reservations during this time and provide supervisors in school district gyms.
Community Renter Responsibility
