4th Grade Lori Arrowsmith

My name is Lori Arrowsmith and I am a fourth grade teacher at Rock Creek Elementary.

I graduated with a double major B.S. in Elementary Education and Special Education in 1993 from Iowa State University and a reading endorsement. I later received my M.Ed. in Special Education from Iowa State University in 1997.

In 1993 I began my teaching career in Kirksville, Missouri, working with fifth grade special education students. In 1995, I moved to Ankeny where I have worked with sixth and seventh grade students in the special education program at Parkview Middle School, fifth grade students at Northeast and Rock Creek, and currently fourth grade students at Rock Creek.

I enjoy reading, watching movies, and spending time with my family. I approach each day in the classroom as a new opportunity to help my students grow as learners and people. Watching them succeed and reach their goals is such a rewarding experience. I strive to create an environment where all students feel valued, supported, and a sense of leadership. I look forward to having another fun and memorable year with my students.
