Industrial Technology Mark Schmidt

Hello and Welcome! I am Mark Schmidt.  I grew up in Long Island, New York.  I started my college career at William Penn University with a bachelor’s degree in Technology Education.  I attended  Northern Illinois University for two years where I completed my master’s degree in School Administration.  I have had the privilege to teach students for 30 years .  At Ankeny High School I teach CAD 1, CAD 2, Beginning House Design, CAD Architecture, Intro to Engineering, and Principles of Engineering.  When I’m not at school I love spending time with my wife, three boys, two girls, two wolf dogs, and a cat.   I also love going boating at Saylorville Lake and skiing in Colorado. I’m very proud to be part of the AHS staff and community!
