Counselor Nicole Wee

It has been my honor to be a professional school counselor in the Ankeny School district since 2004.  I began as a Hawk at Ankeny High School and became a Jag when we opened Centennial High School in 2013.  In 2018, I joined the team at Southview Middle School  where I am proudly embracing the philosophy of “Once a Hawk, Always a Hawk!”  I enjoy the energy of the middle school students, the opportunity to get to know the families, and the chance to assist students with everything from four year planning to personal concerns.  I am passionate about all students learning about careers and planning for their lives after high school.

I am a proud UNI grad and Cyclone fan.  I have a daughter and son who both graduated from Ankeny Centennial and attend Iowa State University.  My husband is a local Ankeny business owner.  Our family enjoys sports, attending athletic events and travel together.  On my own, I love walking, yoga, and any outdoor water sports.  I read an assortment of fiction and non-fiction books avidly, follow current events closely, and love to get together with friends and eating out (Mexican food is a favorite).  Self-described soft serve ice cream critic and enthusiast!  Dog lover to two standard poodles.
