2nd Grade Rebecca Schnorr

Welcome to Second Grade! We are going to do great things!  Some things to look forward to are:  writing amazing stories, discovering new authors, becoming stronger readers, blasting off with new math strategies, solving science mysteries, and learning about places around the world.  I am excited to learn with you! 

I have always taught in Ankeny. I’ve taught fifth grade for seven years and I’m now teaching second grade. I graduated from Iowa State University specializing in English & Language Arts, have a K-12 Reading Endorsement, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Theory and Practice.   I am just completing my Educational Specialist degree in  Educational Leadership, Principalship. 

When I’m not in school, I love to travel and be outside! I play in a co-ed adult soccer league, manage a kickball team, ride bikes across the state of Iowa, and travel the world with my family. This year, I planted a salsa garden and grew tomatoes, peppers, and jalapenos.  I am so excited for all the fun adventures this school year will bring!
