Music Sarrah Hammond

Hey there! My name is Sarrah Hammond and I’m so excited to be back for another year of music-making at Prairie Trail!

I graduated from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA with my Bachelors of Music Education degree in 2020. During the summer of 2022, I earned my  First Steps in Music certification from Central College in Pella, IA. Recently, during the summer of 2024, I earned my Kodály Level 1 certification from Mt. Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, IA and my Orff-Schulwerk Level 1 certification from the Portland Orff-Schulwerk Association in Portland, OR.

In my free time I enjoy finding new coffee shops, travelling, collecting plants, and hanging out with my cat, Mochi (moe-key).

I believe that everyone is innately musical. It is my goal as a music educator to guide my students (and others) through the discovery and exploration of their musical selves.
