Hola and bonjour,
     My name is Tammy Simms and I teach both Spanish and French at ACHS. I’m also the lead teacher for the French Exchange Program and the educational trip to Peru. I have a true passion for languages, and I hope to inspire each and every one of my students. I’m truly honored to be a part of the wonderful staff at Ankeny Centennial High School.
     I received my teaching degree in Spanish, French, and ESL from Central College where I had the life-changing opportunity to study abroad in Spain and Mexico. After graduating I loved teaching in the Shawnee Mission School District in Kansas City. But when Centennial opened, I was happy to return home to Ankeny where I could bring my experiences back to where I was inspired to pursue languages.
     When I’m not at school I love spending time with my husband and our two kids. I also enjoy gardening, boating, traveling, and all things organizational!
