I started my educational journey by attending the University of Kansas but graduated from Iowa State University in 2006 with a degree in English education. Since then I have been in Southern California teaching. I taught high school English at West Valley High School in Hemet and high school English, journalism, student council, grade level leader while at Tahquitz High School, also in Hemet. I have my masters in educational technology from National University in San Bernadino, California. My office hours are 8:25-3:40, I have floating planning periods and will do my best to be reachable to you--email is the best way to contact me.
Along with teaching, I enjoy SCUBA diving, photography, cheering on the Cyclones and spending time with my family--my husband and I have two incredible little guys that light up our lives.
I am an academic support specialist teachers, I co-teach a connections class as well as the video production class at Ankeny Centennial High School and am absolutely loving it. I wake up every single day and get to live my dream job. I love being surrounded by a staff that makes me laugh and knows how to work hard. I love being surrounded by students who are driven to succeed. The future is looking bright!!
