Description: License Renewal and EDEX graduate credit are being offered for this course. This course is being held in partnership with Ankeny Academy. Learn new ways to integrate technology in your classroom using the Schoolwires Centricity2 website management platform. In addition to developing content for the new school website, participants will design a comprehensive plan to improve communication with parents and families and design online learning activities Schoolwires, Google Apps, and other online tools.

Hi! My name is Steven Hopper, and I am proud to serve Ankeny as the Curriculum Technology Coordinator in the Teaching and Learning Department. In addition to technology, I support several other district initiatives from my office in the Annex including our school counseling program and our positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) efforts. I joined the district in 2014 following a year with Heartland AEA. Prior to that, I taught special education and technology for Des Moines Public Schools. It is an honor and privilege to serve a district that believes technology innovations can accelerate learning and assure success for all.
