Mr. Adam Brown

6th and 7th Grade Vocal Music

Hello, my name is Adam Brown and this is my second year as one of the choir directors at Parkview!  I will be co-teaching the 6th grade choirs with Jill Bjorklund, and teaching the 7th grade Bass Clef choirs.  Additionally, I will be helping out with show choir at the high school level. This year, I will be co-directing Intensity (9th grade women) and Perpetual Motion (mixed prep) with Mackenzie Walsh. We're very excited to build on last years success and make this year the best one yet!

I graduated from Urbandale High School in 2012 and continued my education at the University of Northern Iowa, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree of Music Education in 2016.  While at UNI, I had amazing opportunities in choir, Opera, and chamber ensembles.  My hope is that I can give my students the same incredible and life-changing experiences through music that I had.  I completed my student teaching at Ashland Ridge Elementary (general music) and Ankeny Centennial High School (choir and show choir). This is my second year at Parkview and I'm excited to meet my students and start the school year!

In my free time, I like to be outdoors, doing things such as hiking, boating, golfing, and playing rugby.  I'm a big Chicago sports fan, and I'm sure my students will appreciate the amount of times they hear "Go Cubs Go" playing in the choir room.  I have a dog named Capone, but I promise he's nicer than his name makes him out to be.

I look forward to getting to know everyone.  Feel free to call, or better yet, email me.

Parkview is an awesome school, and I'm really excited to be a part of the amazing community here in Ankeny.  Let's have a great year. Go Hawks!
