First day of school and sales tax holiday

Summer is quickly coming to an end, school supplies are out in the stores, and the forecast is hot. Ankeny’s first day of school is Monday, August 23. The sales tax holiday in Iowa is Friday, Aug. 6 and Saturday, Aug. 7.
