Ankeny Schools Achieve Leader in Me Excellence with New Lighthouse Certification and 2024 Honor Roll Recognition

Ankeny Community School District is proud to announce that Prairie Trail Elementary has achieved the prestigious Lighthouse Certification, inspired by Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Additionally, Westwood Elementary and Northeast Elementary have been named to the 2024 Lighthouse Academic Honor Roll for their remarkable academic achievements.

Highlights of Our Schools’ Achievements:

• Prairie Trail Elementary: Achieved Lighthouse Certification, valid for two years, marking its commitment to leadership and academic excellence. Principal Ben Muller credits this success to the dedication of students, staff, and families.
• Westwood Elementary: Recognized for Exemplary Academic Growth and Proficiency, showcasing significant academic improvements and high proficiency rates.
• Northeast Elementary: Honored for Exemplary Academic Proficiency, consistently exceeding state standards.
