Boys' Cross Country Team Gives Back

ANKENY, Iowa (October 16, 2017) - The Ankeny Centennial boys' cross country team ran from Ames High School (the visiting football team) to Ankeny Stadium on October 6 to raise awareness of childhood cancer.  The team had planned to present a check to Blank Children's Hospital when they arrived at the stadium, however due to weather, the football game was postponed and their check presentation was rescheduled.    

 

At their cross country conference meet On October 12 at DMACC in Ankeny, the team presented a check for $6,290.35 to representatives from the Children's Cancer and Blood Disorder Center at Blank.  Each member of the team was asked to raise a minimum of $100.
