National Honor Society

ANKENY, Iowa (May 2, 2018) - Sixty-four Ankeny Centennial High School students were inducted into the National Honor Society, including 40 sophomores, 22 juniors, and two seniors during a ceremony on April 30.  The keynote address was given by Iowa Hall of Pride Director and former Ankeny Centennial teacher Taylor Anderson.


Students apply to become members of National Honor Society, an organization founded in 1921 and chartered by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.  Successful applicants must have a minimum unweighted grade point average of 3.5 or above, a demonstrated record of scholarship, extracurricular involvement, community service, and character. Tim Garner is the sponsor of the Ankeny Centennial High School chapter of National Honor Society.
