The Ankeny School Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of
the Foundation grants the 2015-2016 school year. This year the
foundation provided 41 grants totaling $33, 491.33. Since its inception
in 2000, the Foundation has awarded more than $300,000 to teachers,
clubs, students, and parents for use in educational endeavors that
benefit students in Ankeny and reach beyond the regular budget
limitations of the school system.
"The Foundation seeks to fund innovative projects that enhance student learning," said Brad Botos, Foundation President.
Foundation Vice President Darrin Eilander, and Foundation
Secretary/Treasurer Steve Morrissey recently presented checks to each of
this year's recipients.
"As we presented the checks, I enjoyed
hearing about the various projects and seeing the passion from Ankeny's
educators," added Botos.
