Ankeny Wins Honors in Chinese Language Competition
ANKENY, Iowa (March 7, 2017) - Ankeny High School and Ankeny Centennial High School students won two first place awards and one second place award during the University of Iowa's International Programs Chinese Language Speaking competition.
Students studying Chinese from across the state were asked demonstrate their language skills by performing short skits for a panel of judges. Performances were evaluated based on accuracy, fluency, creativity, and preparation.
Ankeny won first place in Chinese Level II and Level IV, and second place in Chinese Level III.
Ankeny's Chinese language students are taught by Amy Sun.
