Spectrum Takes Honors at National Finals

Ankeny Centennial High School's varsity show choir Spectrum hit all the right notes at the FAME Show Choir National Finals in Chicago on April 30. 
Spectrum took home the following honors:
  • First-runner up
  • Best vocals
  • Best combo
  • Best show design
  • Best female stage presence - Kailey Douglas
 In addition, ACHS Vocal Music Director, Lester Miller won the FAME Aspire award for Vocal Vanguard of the year, and ACHS' choreographer Steph Hyatt won the FAME Aspire Best New Choreographer award.  The Aspire Awards are the show choir industry's top awards for professionals working in, and contributing to, the advancement of show choir.  Nominees are voted on by their peers.
