Ankeny Centennial High School Senior Spotlight Night
ANKENY, Iowa (June 3, 2016) - More than 300 Ankeny students were recognized during Senior Spotlight Nights at Ankeny High School and Ankeny Centennial High School. These ceremonies acknowledge seniors for the academic and scholarship accomplishments. Honors include Principal's Academic Excellence Awards, Principal's Scholar Awards, athletic and academic scholarships, memorial scholarships, local business and organization scholarships, as well as other achievements.
Ankeny Dollars for Scholars recipients were also recognized. Dollars for Scholars, through the generosity of donors, many of them local businesses and community members, awarded 126 scholarships this year totaling nearly $69,000. These scholarships are distributed through the Ankeny Community School District Foundation, dedicated to motivating and inspiring high-quality education in Ankeny.
In addition, each high school department honored students who they felt demonstrated excellence through their high school career in a specific subject.
