ANKENY, Iowa (September 29, 2017) - The Ankeny High School yearbook program was awarded the 2017 National Yearbook Program of Excellence Award at Jostens® annual workshop.  The award recognizes yearbook programs around the country who excel in meeting deadlines, increasing sales, and increasing coverage during the prior school year.

To receive this award, Ankeny High School met every deadline, grew their sales by five percent, and had more than 50% of students pictured in the book three or more times.

"I am incredibly proud of the dedication my yearbook staff put into this yearbook," said Elise Jessen, yearbook advisor.  "Editor-in-chief, Chloe Wenham (class of 2017), embodied true leadership with a clear vision of getting as many students and staff in the book as possible. Business manager, Delainey Schaer (class of 2017), was determined to get a book in the hands of each student.  The entire staff employed tremendous creativity and worked effectively as a team."

“Jostens is proud to recognize those individuals who have acted as wonderful stewards by creating an exceptional yearbook for their school and community,” said Chuck Mooty, Jostens president and CEO.
