The Ankeny Community School District is proud to announce that Jeremy Braden will assume responsibility as the new principal for the Alternative Learning Center (ALC) for the 2018-2019 school year. The Ankeny Community School District, has been undergoing a study through a taskforce of the alternative learning opportunities in Ankeny Schools. The district is committed to ensuring that all students graduate. Therefore, creating a program with resources to assist students that may otherwise be at risk of dropping out is a priority of Dr. Bruce A. Kimpston, Superintendent.
Mr. Braden currently serves as the associate principal for Prairie Ridge Middle School. Before coming to Ankeny in the 2014-2015 school year, Braden was a middle school/high school principal at West Monona School District in Onawa, Iowa. Braden brings with him a passion for ensuring that all students are successful. He will continue to serve in the role of associate principal throughout this school year, but will also begin collaboration and planning for his new role as the ALC principal. The district will immediately begin the recruitment process for an associate principal at Prairie Ridge.
