Ankeny School District Communications Earn Awards in State Contest
ANKENY, Iowa (April 27, 2018) - Ankeny School District communications won eight awards in the 2018 Iowa Schools Public Relations Association (ISPRA) communications contest. Communications from school districts, Area Education Agencies and other educational institutions are evaluated on a 100-point scale by judges from Public Relations Associations in other states. Submissions are evaluated and feedback is received on content, writing, design, photos, overall impression and other criteria that contribute to the effectiveness of the communications.
The district received six Awards of Excellence:

Social Media - Elementary 11 Bond Referendum
Bond/Finance Campaigns - ACSD Builds (Elementary 11 Bond Referendum)
Public Engagement - FUEL
Branding/Image Package - Orbis
Communication Plan - ACSD Grows: Laying the Groundwork
Two Awards of Merit were also received for projects including a video for the Trailhead Local scholarship program and the 2017-2018 Ankeny Advance newsletters.
