ANKENY, Iowa (February 11, 2019) - From a total of 980 submissions, the artwork of Ankeny Centennial High School junior Saul Epstein is one of only 63 chosen for the fourth annual National Art Honor Society/National Junior Art Honor Society exhibit.
The juried exhibition is displayed now through April 12 at the National Art Education Association Studio and Gallery in Alexandria, Virginia. The 63 works chosen for display represent 40 schools from 23 states.
Submissions were juried digitally by representatives from eight member schools of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design, Laguna College of Art + Design, Maryland Institute College of Art, Lesley University, Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and Tufts University. The artwork was scored in five categories including visual communication, execution, formal elements, originality, and artist statement.
