Jamison Named New CFO
ANKENY, Iowa (April 24, 2019) - The Ankeny Community School District is pleased to announce Jennifer Jamison as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Jamison currently serves the district as the Director of Business Services. She has been in this role for six years. Jamison will take the reins from Jackie Black who retires at the end of June.
“I am pleased Jennifer will take on the role as our CFO and serve on our executive cabinet team,” said Dr. Bruce A. Kimpston, Superintendent of Schools. “Her previous service with the Ankeny district will serve the community well.”
As the Director of Business Services, Jamison is part of the team garnering the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting and the Association of School Business Officials International awards since 2012. These achievements are representative of the district’s business and finance department’s effort to operate with fiscal integrity, efficiency, and effectiveness.

In this new role, I am looking forward to continuing the excellent stewardship of district finances, ensuring all learners achieve a lifetime of personal success,” said Jamison.
Jamison earned her undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Central Missouri, and an accounting certificate from Simpson College. She began her career with the Polk-Des Moines Taxpayers Association analyzing local government budgets and property tax issues. Jamison then transitioned to school finance, where for the past eighteen years she served as Staff Accountant with Des Moines Public Schools and Business Manager for Saydel and I-35 schools before assuming her current role as Director of Business Services.
Jamison and husband Darryl live in Ankeny with their three children. Their two oldest children are recent graduates of Ankeny Centennial High School currently attending college, and their youngest son attends second grade in Ankeny Schools.
