The Ankeny High School speech team participated in the Iowa High School Speech Association (IHSSA) large-group speech state contest on
Saturday, February 4 at Valley High School. Two groups received All-State Performing Nominations and will be
performing at the All-State festival at Iowa State University on February
18. Eight groups received
“excellent” Division I ratings, and three groups received “good” Division II
ratings. The speech coaches are Justin Schlicher, Nick Black, Jordan Bacon, and Cory Brooks.
The following groups received the “excellent” score. Those
marked with an asterisk will be performing at All-State.
