Digital Learning Teacher Alana Dunkin

Hello! My name is Alana Dunkin. I am the digital learning teacher at Westwood.  I teach all kindergarten-fifth grade students as one of their specials classes.  I love teaching students about technology and promoting a love for reading!   This if my fifteenth year teaching in Ankeny and my twelfth year at Westwood.   I couldn’t have picked a better place to teach than Westwood!  It is so fun to see the students grow through their elementary years!

I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2009 with a Early Childhood/Elementary Education Degree and a School Library endorsement.  My husband, Chris, and I have been married for 14 years and we have two boys. Noah is in third grade and Carson is in first grade.  I am ready for exciting year at Westwood!
