Connecting the Ankeny community with courses, facilities, and resources.
Ankeny Community Engagement is an extension of the Ankeny Community School District. We strive to meet the needs of the community through community education classes for youth and adults, public rentals of school facilities, and charitable resources in the Ankeny community. The Community Engagement department also approves and manages the distribution of non-district communication within the district, including community information such as the Virtual Backpack, flyers, posters, and yard signs. We are also the contact for donation inquiries for the Ankeny Community School District.
- All facility rentals and all in-person community engagement classes are currently suspended until further notice.

Monday-Wednesday-Friday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM (by appointment only).
Tuesday-Thursday 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (by appointment only)
- Please make in-person payments by credit or debit card.
- An outside drop box is available at the front entrance of the District Administrative Office. Access cards may be dropped off after hours in a provided envelope.
Community Engagement is accepting mask donations that will be distributed to students and staff of Ankeny schools. To make a donation, we ask that you first set up an appointment with us in the Community Engagement Department in the district office. We can be reached at 515-289-3960.
Monetary donations for the purchase of masks can be made at this link: TouchBase.Lite. To donate, go to the drop down menu on the left side and select “COVID-19 Donation,” then enter the dollar amount desired. Then click the cart and complete the payment information.
