Community Engagement
Purpose
The Community Engagement Department is committed to creating equitable access to opportunities that enrich student and family lives, connecting individuals with resources, and facilitating the collaboration between the community and the District, for the success of all.
Defining our Work
A diverse group of people, connected by shared characteristics, who offer support, empathy, and opportunity for all, and have pride in being better together
Participating in rewarding experiences, opportunities to share input, and accessing resources, all of which foster connection and growth
Facility Rentals
For a fee, external organizations/individuals may request to rent space within District buildings.
Community Education
Community Education classes are offered for youth, adults, and families to empower the community to be life long learners.
Distributed Materials and vBackpack
All non-District promotional materials must be approved by the Community Engagement Department. The Department complies materials and creates a monthly virtual backpack.
Community Engagement Events
The Department collaborates with organizations and other departments to host Community Engagement events for students and families. The Department also facilitates the collaboration between the District and the Community.
Resource Roundup
Bridging the gap between the community, District, and students & families, the Department leverages community resources to support needs.
