The Operations Department serves as a strategic partner in fulfilling the district’s mission by ensuring our buildings are clean, safe, cost-effective, and instructionally supportive. This ranges from keeping older buildings updated on paint, fixtures, and general maintenance to planning for growth in regards to facility space. The Ankeny Schools Operations Department has oversight of numerous systems, thousands of pieces of equipment, and involvement with every building and department in the district. In addition to that work, they also are responsible for the district’s safety protocols.
