Literacy Amy Bear

My name is Amy Bear and I am the Literacy Leader at Heritage Elementary School.  I became a part of the Ankeny Community School District in 2007.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology from Iowa State University.  I am certified to teach K-6 grade and have endorsements in English & Language Arts, Social Studies, and Reading.   I received my Masters in Elementary Education from Viterbo University in 2011.   I taught first grade at Westwood Elementary in Ankeny for seven years and at East Elementary for six years.

I am excited to be a part of Heritage Elementary School community and to build relationship with families.
