World Language Angela Worley Petersen

Bonjour! Je m’appelle Madame Angela Worley Petersen (Petersen sans ‘O’).

Born and raised in Des Moines, I went to college in Kirksville, Missouri at Truman State University where I earned my BA in French in 2010 and my Master’s in Education in 2011. During my undergraduate and graduate programs I was able to study abroad twice in France, once in Aix-en-Provence and a second time in Lyon. I love travel and am fortunate to have traveled to French speaking countries such as Morocco, Belgium, Switzerland, Monaco, and Canada and look forward to visiting even more.

I live in Johnston with my husband, Keith, our daughter, and our Border Collie, Halo. We enjoy hiking together and working in our garden. I love to eat and cook–one of my favorite aspects of culture.

I’m passionate about francophone culture and how our brains acquire language and look forward to teaching you this year.
