Nurse Anne Owens

Hello Rock Creek Family!

My name is Anne Owens.  I have the privilege of caring for Rock Creek students, staff and visitors as the school nurse.  I have been in Ankeny Schools since 2004.

I am and Ankeny High School graduate, Class of 1989.  Then, I graduated first with a B.S. in Liberal Arts from the University of Iowa in 1993 and then a B.S. in Nursing from Grand View University in 1996 (then Grandview College).  I have experience from working at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Pella Regional Medical Center and Blank Children’s Hospital.   I am also a certified CPR instructor with American Heart Association through Unity Point.

Serving my hometown community has been a blessing.  The new connections I’ve made in this evolving and growing town has been enlightening. There is so much support for new families moving into our wonderful school district.  The teachers and support staff are truly gifted and caring people who care and deeply desire to see students succeed.  I help them by consulting on keeping students (and staff) healthy to accomplish our district goals of becoming great.  Students will thrive in this district!
