Counselor Brenna Peel

My name is Brenna Peel and I have been with the district since 2005. All my years have been right here at Northwest Elementary. Earlier in my career, I worked in Ogden, Woodward-Granger, and Johnston School Districts. My undergraduate work was in elementary education, along with reading and coaching. Later I attended Wayne State and graduated with a Master’s in School Counseling and then went back to Viterbo and earned my endorsement in Administration. I quickly learned my heart was in being a Professional School Counselor. My family moved to Ankeny in 2006. My husband works in Ankeny as a Physical Therapist. My oldest daughter, Haylee, graduated from Iowa State University and is now an Interior Design Architect. Kaylyn, my youngest, is at Iowa State University and is VP of Recruitment for her sorority. We have two pups as well that enjoy walks and playing outside. My family loves to travel and we visit Florida quite regularly. We are huge Disney fans so we go every summer (yes, even in the heat).
