Physical Education Teacher

Hello and welcome to the Northeast Physical Education Department. My goal for your child is to have fun, to increase their heart rate through a variety of activities, and to display outstanding sportsmanship. 

I have been teaching physical education in Ankeny since 2004.  Prior to that I was a 4th grade teacher at Northeast for four years and also taught 5th grade for four years and 6th grade for one year…all in the classroom.  I began my teaching career in 1994. I received my undergraduate degree from Luther College in Decorah, IA and my graduate degree in Administrative Leadership from Drake University in 2003.

I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, fishing, and doing just about anything outdoors.
