2nd Grade Charity Wenham

Hello! My name is Charity Wenham, and I teach 2nd grade at Southeast Elementary School.  I went to Morningside College and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education.  I have been a substitute teacher, taught preschool, 5th grade, 3rd grade, elementary and middle school special education.  I earned my Master’s degree in Elementary Education with a reading endorsement. After, I was the literacy leader at SE.  I have had the pleasure to gain experience from Sioux Falls Public Schools, Sioux City Community School District, and Des Moines Public Schools.

I am passionate about teaching and literacy. In my classroom, I am committed to providing a welcoming, encouraging, and accepting learning environment. I believe that connection is important so I work hard to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. We are better together!
