Mathematics Christopher Harken

Hello!!  My name is Christopher Harken and I teach math at Ankeny Centennial.  I am also a girls basketball assistant coach.  I began my teaching career in 2006 and officially started in Ankeny in 2022. I’ve experienced other districts including Olathe (KS), Johnston, and Ames.

I grew up on an acreage in north central Iowa (Aplington-Parkersburg) and graduated from Iowa State University. I received my Masters through Concordia University-Portland while teaching and coaching! I am an active individual through biking, running, hiking, golfing, and basketball. I enjoy site-seeing / traveling with my wife.

I look forward to working with the students and families of Ankeny to foster growth and success.
