Modern Language Arts Elizabeth Dentlinger

¡Hola!

Mrs. Dentlinger is very excited to be teaching in Ankeny beginning with the 2022-2023 school year!  She has been teaching various levels of Spanish in Iowa since 2011.  She holds a Master’s in Education with a focus on World Language Instruction from Concordia College of Moorhead, MN and her Bachelor’s of Arts focused on Secondary Education, Spanish, English, and Communications from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI.  Additionally, Mrs. Dentlinger also holds an endorsement in Talented and Gifted Education.  She lived abroad in Spain; however, she has also traveled to Mexico and Costa Rica.

When Mrs. Dentlinger is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three young daughters.  They have lived in Ankeny since 2016 and they are proud to call Ankeny home.  In her free time she likes completing home renovation projects, gardening, and training her golden retriever.

Three fun facts about Mrs. Dentlinger:

1. She is originally from Michigan, but has called Iowa home for over a decade now.
2. She has two spots where adult teeth never came in.
3. Her front garden consists of purple and orange flowers – unless a random donor color gets in there!
