Health Teacher Emily Phommachack

Hello! My name is Mrs. Phommachack. I am excited for another great year at Northview Middle School!

Teach: 8th/9th Grade PE / 9th Grade HEALTH

BACKGROUND:

• Graduated from ‘the original’ Ankeny High School, which is now where I work- Northview Middle School :)
• I have a B.S. degree in Physical Education and Coaching from the University of Northern Iowa and an M.A. degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Emporia State University.
• I began teaching and coaching in Ottumwa, IA in 2008. I began teaching and coaching in Ankeny in 2013; back to my hometown :)
• I coached tennis for 13 years; absolutely love everything about the sport.
• My husband and I have been married since 2011 and we have 3 beautiful children: Jett, Holland, and Lenny. They are our world :)
• In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my children, exercising, digitally scrapbooking (I LOVE taking pictures,) planning events, and spending QT with my family.

FUN FACT:

• Ran the Chicago Marathon in 2010
• Hiked the Grand Canyon in 2007
