Social Studies Gary Birdwell

My name is Gary Birdwell.  I am proud to be a member of the Social Science Department at Ankeny High School.  I currently teach United States History and World History.  I received my Bachelors Degree while attending Iowa State University and Upper Iowa University.  I earned my Masters Degree in Education from Viterbo Univeristy.  Prior to ACSD, I taught at Urbandale High School for 24 years.  Along with the classroom, I am coaching Girls Basketball and Boys Track.  I am very excited to be a part of the Ankeny Hawks community!
