Kindergarten Jill Murkins

My name is Jill Murkins and I am a Kindergarten Teacher at Rock Creek Elementary. I grew up in Ankeny and attended Ankeny Schools. I am married and have two young children.

I graduated from Iowa State University in 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and a reading endorsement. I received my Master’s degree in Teacher Effectiveness from Drake University. I have taught second grade and kindergarten.

I love kindergarten, and I recognize the special treasures, which are your unique children. My goal as a teacher is for your children to LOVE coming to school and to help them to be successful learners. I welcome you to Rock Creek and look forward to partnering with you in your children’s education!
