2nd Grade Joanne Johnson

Hello!  My name is Joanne Johnson and I live in Ankeny with my husband Don.  We have three grown kids that all graduated from Ankeny Centennial and are all now living their grown up lives!  I absolutely love spending time with my family especially when we can coordinate to have all of our kids home at the same time! :)

I earned both my Bachelor’s and my Master’s Degrees in Education and love teaching!  I began teaching in 1995 and came to Ankeny in 2005.  I have taught kindergarten through second grades, taught summer school for third and fourth grades, as well as taught a couple university night classes.  I have endorsements in Early Childhood, Reading K-8, Language Arts K-8, and Multicategorical Programs.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, visiting my family in Canada (where I was born and raised), watching movies, and going on walks with my pups!
