2nd Grade Joanne Johnson

Hello!  My name is Joanne Johnson and I thank you for reading my bio!

I live in Ankeny with my husband and we have three kids that have all graduated from Ankeny Centennial! Our youngest daughter goes to University of Iowa and will graduate in 2023, our older daughter graduated from University of Iowa in 2021 and moved to North Dakota to start living her grown-up life, and our son graduated from University of Northern Iowa in 2019 and is living his grown-up life in Minneapolis! I absolutely love spending time with my family especially when we can coordinate to have all three kids home at the same time! :)

I earned both my Bachelor’s and my Master’s Degrees in Education and love teaching!  I began teaching in 1995 and have taught kindergarten through second grades, taught summer school for third and fourth grades, as well as taught a couple university night classes.  I have endorsements in Early Childhood, Reading K-8, Language Arts K-8, and Multicategorical Programs.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, visiting my family in Canada (where I was born and raised), watching movies, and going on walks with my pups!
