Science Kristen Campbell-Blumhagen

Hello and Welcome! I am Kristen Campbell-Blumhagen but everyone in the education community calls me Mrs. CB.  I grew up on a farm in southeast Iowa and graduated from Pekin Community Schools.  I finished my college career at Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Secondary Education.  I stayed at Iowa State another two years to complete my master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction.  During my teaching career I have taught Biology, Physical Science, Earth Science, and Chemistry in two other districts.  At Ankeny High School I teach Teacher Academy, Chemistry, and Principles of Engineering.  When I’m not at school I love spending time with my husband, two boys, and our dogs.  I also like to “geek-out” over nonfiction books related to the history of science and technology and listen to podcasts.  I’m very proud to be part of the AHS staff and community!
