AELP Kristin Melcher

I am excited to support students through the Ankeny Extended Learning Program (AELP)!

I began my teaching career in Des Moines, where I taught math, fifth grade, and first grade.  In 2015 I began teaching at Northeast Elementary in Ankeny and moved to Prairie Ridge Middle School in 2018.  Besides teaching and learning, I enjoy reading, baking, exploring new places, spending time with my family outdoors, and playing board and card games.
