4th Grade Madison Harjes

Hello families!

I am so excited to work with the families and students in the Ankeny Community School District. I grew up in the Des Moines area and graduated from Grand View University in 2016 with an elementary education and an endorsement in reading. I have been teaching since 2017. All but one of those years have been spent in 4th grade! My favorite part of teaching is getting to build relationships with my students. I believe that my job is to help students find their strengths and help them see the value in learning and growing.

When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my husband and son. We love to get outdoors as much as we can! Some of our favorite hobbies include biking, gardening, and fishing.
