Instructional Coach Matthew Johnson

Hello, my name is Matt Johnson and I am Instructional Coach and Economics Teacher at Ankeny High School.  The 2023-2024 school year will be my 23rd year in education and my second in Ankeny.  My experience includes teaching in the Park Hill School District (Kansas City, MO), as well as the Centerville Community School District (southern Iowa). In addition to being an Instructional Coach and Economics teacher, I am also an assistant wrestling coach and freshmen football coach.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from the University of Central Missouri and I earned a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Webster University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Iowa State University.  I enjoy working out, being outside, and spending time with my wife and three children.
