4th Grade Meredith Jacobson

Hello, my name is Meredith Jacobson and I teach 4th grade at Prairie Trail Elementary.  I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2002 with an emphasis in Elementary Education.  My specializations are in the area of reading, social science, and special education.  I graduated from Graceland University with a Masters in Collaborative Teaching and Learning in 2006.  After graduating from college, I taught on the Southside of Des Moines for 3 and a half years at Park Avenue Elementary.  Before teaching at Prairie Trail I taught fourth grade at Crocker Elementary.  I have been with Ankeny since 2006.

I enjoy teaching and learning from my students.  Their commitment and willingness to learn is contagious.  It is great to be able to model my love for lifelong learning.

Outside of school I like to be with family and friends.  My husband’s name is Eric.  We have two children.  Benjamin and Allison.  We enjoy being outside taking walks, fishing, golfing, and visiting the many parks in Ankeny.
